Teach vs Learn:While having a telephone conversation with someone, they said to me that I had so much self discipline and that I could teach so much to others. At that time I still felt that I had more to learn before being able to teach.
Rain:One day while it was raining, I challenged myself to recreate the same mood of a that day. The idea of rain drops falling, and the calmness I felt looking outside.
Next Stop:Intrigued by the sights, sounds, smells, textures and people hustling past me, this poster was created to translate the experience of the train rides while visiting Chicago.
Synthesis Poster:A project based on graphically translating sketches that were made while listening to a piece of music. Taking the project to the next level, I took the graphical elements and animated them to respresent what I had envisioned while listening to the music. After viewing the piece, an instructor use it to create a class project for the lowerclassmen in college.
R147 Poster:Measuring 16' wide by 1' high, I consider this piece the culmination of my schooling. While studying, class mates began to easily pick up on my "style" of work. This bothered me as I felt having a syle was limiting in so many ways. The poster is a conversation piece between myself and other deisgners about styles.
Brush & Comb Flower: As called by the locals it is described as a brush, comb and compact in one unique flower. Taken while at the botanical gardens in St. Vincent.
Water Lily:Another flower that was shot while at the Botanical Gardens in St. Vincent.
Hibiscus:From my mother's garden. She is an avid keeper of plants.
Explosion of Color:One of the many revelers from the 2006 St. Maarten Carnival.
Bodyscapes:The shapes of a woman's body can be amazing. This series explores different views, shapes, lines, and shadows. Shot using high grain film and a small desk lamp as the only light source. Please Note: The following images contain mature content.
